Six years ago, Don & Jan Tardy and children Colt Perrin and Bree Perrin acquired the former Whispering Pines RV & Cabin Resort, investing in improvements continually since 2012. They joined the Jellystone Park franchise network in 2013. Half a dozen years later, the Tardy Family’s Jellystone Park at Whispering Pines has not only enjoyed significant year-over-year gains in revenue and occupancy, but they’ve won some of the highest awards given in the Jellystone Park franchise and the camp/resort industry.
Franchise and By Region: This is the highest honor awarded to a Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort. The facility as well as its operators must exceed all Jellystone Park standards of operation. The recipient must be ranked in the Pinnacle Club, have shown a strong growth in business, implemented sustained improvements and be viewed as a leader in the industry.
Awarded to Camp-Resorts that rate 95% and higher on the annual assessment of their facilities and operations by Leisure Systems, Inc. (LSI)
Awarded to Camp-Resorts that rate 90% and higher on the annual assessment of their facilities and operations by LSI
Awarded to Camp-Resorts that score an 88% or higher on the annual guest satisfaction survey
Awarded to Camp-Resorts that score an 88% or higher on the total recreation score from the guest satisfaction survey.
Recipients are Camp-Resorts that have added new amenities/facilities to the operation. They have also shown sustained improvements to the facilities.
Presented to the individual or individuals directly responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Camp-Resort. It represents excellence in management, improved assessment ratings, and growth in business.
